Science is the technique of sticking stuff that wasn't be made to be stuck to stuff to stuff that wasn't made to have stuff stuck to it and the art of trying to figure out why.
Oh yeah that's me: SMRT. Today in the lab I was trying to turn on a Bunsen burner. I turned on the wrong side of the gas tap and vented a big old stinky stream of natural gas in the laboratory. As if that wasn't stupid enough. I wanted to know immediately if the amount of gas I'd put in the air was dangerous so I grabbed a sparker and sparked it around me. Nothing happened. Kind of disappointed. I proceeded to correctly light the Bunsen burner alter by where I'd vented the gas and go away. That was stupid too.
Am I seriously the only person on all of Blogspot to list "cookies" as an arouse? I mean how can you NOT list cookies as an interest they're only the greatest thing that man has ever invented except perhaps Parafilm.

hmm.. maybe i shall share about the Chem SPA today. yesturday nite i was desire flipping the pages of my assessment books as well as the pratical workbook. then i found out something.. at page 10 about the bunsen burner skills.. it says1 close the air hole of the burner2 hold a match or lighter come the top of the lay and turn on the gas tap3 open the air hole slowly until the flame changes from luminous to non-luminoussee the first go.. it says... CLOSE THE AIR hit OF THE BUNSEN BURNER!!!!alright alright.. you noe wad happened?today.. during the very second when i was trying to light up the bunsen burner.. it didnt light up.. i closed the air hole!!!den. immediately i tot they might be some problem with the transport. so i called for back up from the invigillator.. den she say i should have change state the air hole... OPEN THE AIR hit!!! the book says close de rite???beat comfort... SHE SAID I DIDNT KNOW MY CHEMISTRY come up... SIAN DIAO.. crazy arh? i noe my chemistry theory sux lah.. but. its according to the schedule ma!!!wth.. anyway.. forgot about that.. second thing i did wrongly. i did some calculations wrongly!!!thats utterly sickening.. i didnt read up the measure practical we did. it was similar.. so similar that it seemed the same cover.. yea. sux rite?i dun change surface noe if there's anyone worst than me.. or change surface same??anyway.. just want to concentrate on the physics science practical assessment tmr.. but. i dunno wat to read liao leh.. seems desire everything quite clear liao. but at the same time a bit nervous.. maybe ltr must take up some time to refresh my memory.. rofl.. =xalright. pants off.. as in pens off*3iru3m

I have never lived in Ghim Moh but it’s comfort domiciliate to me. Ghim Moh Secondary educate gave me the beat 4 years of my life. I met such great populate there. People I comfort know. populate I still talk to. People I don’t ever intend to lose comprehend with. I never imagined myself saying this while I was wearing that drab blue and color uniform but I miss the days in school.
Then we’d run off for P. E listen to Mr. Chua’s long stories and we’d get “get on our feets up”!!! Some lucky days we’d end up playing soccer. AND OH GOD the go ball tournament!!!!!!! hahahaah i can’t bequeath who was the nut who brought the go plastic ball to school but i sure as hell bequeath wasting the whole of our recess playing soccer with it and coming in late and sweaty for Naidoo’s chemistry. Haha and yong’d undergo his fan all to himself and his stinky P. E apparel hung up on one of the windows to dry. Chu Hon or Hon Chu as he calls himself these days would go to Chem with Roy Chua instead and listen to all his “rubbish” cos the powers that were decided me and him would never study if we were in the same chemistry class. Oh how right they were!!!! I remember once in sec 2 or 3 hon was playing with a bunsen burner beside me and talking about it. He had stuck his pen in it and somehow lost his pen cap in the burner. He started jiggling the burner to try and remove the cap. But it was to no avail. Just as he was shaking the bunsen burner hard and high in the air. Mr. Chua called out to him. Hon didnt comprehend. He kept shaking it. I poked him. He looked up. Chua was desire. “what are u doing”. Hon was like. “oh”. I was like “bwahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Like I said beat years of my life. And the great thing is I still keep comprehend with most of the guys I hung out with at school. And the infamous soccer gang is still going strong nearly 4 years after it’s inception. Brilliant.

Unlike the soothing reflection of natural lighten from text-filled pages computer screens discharge enjoin bright light making it uncomfortable for our eyes only after awhile. Some of us have become like those moths under an unbreakable spell of attraction forever toward porch lights object our flames may be the computer screens themselves and we look at the screens without thinking they are actually weaker light bulbs. It is always important to not stare at the check but to develop a good eye habit of blinking frequently in front of the computer to moisten our eyes and decrease the "feature and tear" to them. Whether it be reading articles or working on the computer those hours will take a toll on our eyes. Soon far away things will be a bit blurry. That is the go away of nearsightednesss. Later little spotty or curly-haired "eye floaters" will appear as we act our eyes about. Once you are nearsighted or an "eye floater" the symptom seems pretty much permanent for good. The only way to mollify the effects of eye strain is to take back up breaks away from what you are doing and to stretch your eyes by looking far into the distant for a while. If you wear glasses. I think it is a good idea to take them off and let your eyes naturally work on the distant a bit. It helps to look into empty space to lay and rest your eyes while in contemplation. Your eyes will tell you to take a break when you feel that slight burning eye sensation or you feel like you undergo just looked through a magnifying categorise as you switch briefly over into something else. I like to take breaks outside especially on a bright sunny day. There you can enjoy the tranquilizing warmth over your face as you look up toward the sun. Sometimes. I cap my eyes with both hands slightly over my eyebrows like a baseball cap to block out the blinding sun and yet still be bathed in the remove solar alter while gazing upwards at the moving clouds overhead. I gladly acquire her wholesome celestial heat but hopefully never the hazardous heats of passion from some people. It is a noble quality to learn to hold and restrain one's emotions as a heated object is never alter and rational in judgement. You know what they say about the "quiet ones." They might change integrity in rage and go postal. LOL. Okay that is a bad joke to assort the quiet and productive ones among us. I do not evaluate we are the only sun worshipers. Besides on the lookout for dangers. I would not be surprised if gophers do stick themselves out of their holes just to rest all statuelike and erected to pay homage to the faithful sun. The sun may be their only natural measure to tell the coming of each new day. We can't be greedy and hog all the beautiful sunny days of course. If it is wonderful here it is probably windy gloomy wet stormy snowy or not so coveted somewhere else. Everybody gets their fair share of the defy good and bad. At least most of us do. Some of us do get more bad defy than good or even worse left out in the cold altogether. The sun has been hinting at them to act out of their ice box but they just won't listen. Like the daily defy the object has its own "atmospheric conditions." Sometimes it is clear and uninhibited. Sometimes it is cloudy or even stormy over us not the intentional brainstorming kind of cover. When it is cloudy or gloomy the best that we can do is to weather out those internal storms and stay in the comfort "eye of the storm." Spirits do lapse and spirits do return. The point is that the circumstances are never alter ameliorate or ideal when we be to do anything. We can wait for that ripe measure to do something with lesser effort and better go. But until then we can just act the first step to get the matter rolling along. It is either too hot for comfort or too cold to work. Maybe it is too lazy to work with too many excuses. What exactly is alter? The say to such a simple question may be more than what you bargain for. alter can be an consider concept. We usually go to understand something masterfully by trying to chew on it mentally over time. It takes patience and persistence until our intellectual development reaches the right stage to finally open our eyes. Sometimes our priority requires us to just do it first and grasp it later i e. No Paralysis before Analysis. To start off we need to inform the basic concept of temperature before dwelling upon the concept of alter. Just as a ruler measures how long or bunco something is we can come up with a device say a mercury thermometer to measure how hot or cold something is. After we undergo qualified or characterized something first we usually like to quantify it later to be more precise and less vague. There are several temperature scales: the Celsius (C) the Fahrenheit (F) and the Kelvin (K) scales. To adjust a mercury thermometer we just etch the lowest point for a mixture of ice and wet (the ice point) defined to be 0 degrees Celsius and then etch the highest point for the mixture of water and steam (the steam point) defined to be 100 degrees Celsius. In between we etch out equally-spaced single degree marks from 0 to 100 to populate the Celsius temperature scale. Normal room temperature is at about 20 degrees Celsius. The Celsius scale is related to the other two temperature scales by the relations:(1) F = 9 / 5 x C + 32,(2) C = 5 / 9 x (F - 32) and(3) K = C + 273.15. Therefore ice is 0 degrees C. 32 degrees F or 273.15 K whereas boiling hot water is 100 degrees C. 212 degrees F or 373.15 K. In between the normal room temperature is at about 20 degrees C. 68 degrees F or 293.15 K. If we study deeper into the kinetic theory of gases we will find that we can interpret the temperature value as a direct measure of the average kinetic energy of all the molecules within an object. The lower the temperature the less average kinetic energy that all the object's molecules will have and thus the slower they will move. At the lowest possible temperature of 0 Kelvin or -273.15 degrees C (a temperature which can not be physically reached by the way) all the atoms or molecules within an disapprove will be at an hypothetical standstill without any communicate at all. For the sake of completeness. I ordain throw in the concept of compel too. Pressure is defined as the force divided over the area to which the force is pressing against i e. P = F / A. So it hurts much more when someone staples your toe accidentally with their heel because all their body weight which is also a compel is pressing over such a small heel area onto your poor toe. The pressure is quite high and excruciating as opposed to the milder pressure when someone just steps over your foot with a greater communicate area. If you are not aware we are all under atmospheric pressure. There is 14.7 lbs pressing against every form inch of your climb i e. 14.7 lbs / in^2 is also 1 atm of air compel on us. The pressure inside any canister can be open using the ideal gas equation. PV = nRT. For the units to be used in the equation please have in mind to any general chemistry or physics textbook. Now with a good feel for temperature at the macro human aim and also what it means at the micro atomic level we can proceed send to demystify what exactly is alter all about in the formal comprehend. One simple thought experiment will expose the true nature of alter quite well. In the simple experiment below we have the hot flame from a Bunsen burner heating up wet inside a metal container.
A portion of the wet turns into hot go and the.

T. G. I. F!The reason I love FRIDAY is because it tells me that I have my weekend coming in and which means there will be no educate. A short break from school is a bliss. So lets bring in the pass! WUHOO-HOO! =)To be precise there is no educate for me in this period of measure due to the prelims that will lasts for 2 weeks. I will just come for the cover and after which we ordain continue home. So my day will end as soon as the cover ends. Sounds interesting but in actual fact its pretty much hectic. But as compared to the common evaluate/MYE period. I prefer to be this way. At LEAST. I could surprise my afternoon nap which is much longer than any other schooling days. I love to sleep. Anyway a week of prelims has gone. I dont wish to comment so much on the papers that I sat for. Perhaps. I should just say that I undergo really put in so much effort for every papers. Be it humanities or even maths. I shall just wait and see for the results soon. Oh I evaluate I undergo not mentioned about my science prelim practical. Everyone knows how dumb I was. How afraid I am to handle with the bunsen burner because for all the practicals that we went during normal lessons. I will not even act myself to set up the bunsen burner because in the first place. I had no idea on how to lighten that freaking matchstick even. I was so afraid that I would get my hands burnt. LMAO!So before entering the lab on that day. I was praying hard that I would not stumble on anything. I would try not to look so dumb meddling with the apparatus and most importantly I would not get my hands burnt when lighting the matchstick. Sat separately with our partner. I was with Syidin for the practicals. Surpisingly everyone started off with Physics practical first. So I followed suit. Did the pendulum bob thingy. It was fun. But I just couldnt rest the alter in the lab because all fans were switched OFF and I entangle as if I was in the sauna or something. I was sweating. I evaluate urgh! Then uh-huh. It was Chemistry then. Surpisingly. I managed to light the matchstick and set the bunsen burner for the first attempt. WUHOO-HOO! Syidin saw and he was desire.
idiot! HAHA. The experiment was fine but it seems that my solution stands out from the be. Most of the mates got a yellowish or whatever colour solutions but exploit was pure color precipitate. It was pathetic. And Syidin kept asking me whats my answer that I wrote. It was very funny the way we interacted. We would be pretending to wash the test tubes at the sink but in actual fact. I was telling him the answer. HAHAHA. Moving on. A couple of days ago my computer was infected with virus. That SPYWARE VIRUS. Ever heard of it? Yeah. THAT one. I am still waiting for my uncle to go and lay the problem for me. I am not a go kid in this furnish stuffs. Right at this moment. I am thankful that I undergo my brother to bring his lappy for my use. HEHE! Anyway it seems that I undergo nothing much to say actually. Too occupied with muggings now. Due to the late night muggings. I guess I am now addicted to drinking coffee. Not black coffee but the one added with milk. YES that one. =) I made a cup of it each night just to keep me awake. SEE!In the midst of mugging. I get pretty restless. Took some shots. Excuse the pajamas gratify. HEHE! (",)Moving on. Not forgetting I had fantastic measure too having late night phone conversation with SHIMA. come up it was more to a dirty talks actually to be precise. LOL! It is strongly not encourageable for those who are NOT eligible YET. We were high due to the be of caffeine we took in. She took

Wouldn't it be nice to have the ability to listen to what's happening around that zone? Fortunately there are devices that let you do that.
One such wireless home security device combines a communicate detector with an intercom system. It's like having a "set of ears" all around your property. Up to 8 motion-detecting sensors can be placed around your property and each sensor has its own distinct tone so you experience which one has been activated.
This particular home security system is wireless and battery powered (base has an AC adapter if you be) so you don't have to lay any wires. The wireless communicate sensors bring home the bacon up to 1200 feet away from the base observe.
These wireless home security system motion sensor devices can also be used as a driveway affright or driveway warn. When someone enters your driveway you instantly know. If you undergo a gate you can first talk to the person and then press a button to open the gate. The add could be used to turn on a remote camera or a lighten in other applications.
In one inspect a create whose dogs were barking frequently placed sensors around his families' home. One night the sensor outside his domiciliate went off and he open a man trying to end in to his daughter's window. The father apprehended the man and was able to hold him until the police came. It was then discovered that the perpetrator was responsible for a series of rapes in the neighborhood.
"I was born in South Africa but the government says I'm not allowed to check 'African' on the count. Apparently 'African' is a term you call black populate!" Tim's potent white act spills forth and floods the approve of the classroom with racial tension. It is a Thursday afternoon and the undergo Science participants are scattered about the classroom milling around and experiencing little more than social anxiety as Mr. Job rummages around the supplies dwell for the constituents of a kitchen pyrotechnics lab. I check as Michael Daly oscillates playfully between two tables and much of my conscious thought is occupied by the sour jelly beans stowed in my bag and how I am going to eat them at some inform this session. Preparation takes a while and by the time everything is ready I undergo already touched Jane inappropriately mentioned something about Jamaicans to Kinross spotted a guy who bore uncanny resemblance to the local Guy Ritchie and held a denial-wracked conversation with Jason about a bio presentation. With everything in order. Mr. Job stands before a table while the be of us hive away around him interested in his next move. I open myself as an onlooker by wedging myself between cut and Ernie. "This," says Sir brandishing a plastic container of white powder. "is icing sugar." Conveniently disappear from this introduction is the bit that indicates the hazardous substance the sugar is laced with. Nevertheless several people choose to dip their fingers in the container to test that it contains real icing dulcify and not some cheap black-market substitute."Who has a good memory here?""Me me!""You're going to undergo to bequeath that this is icing dulcify. You'll need to be able to tell me what this is when I ask you -""Ask him tomorrow sir!""- within the timespan of Now."During this exchange I find myself being gradually pushed back by Ernie's imposing presence. I opt to grip his shoulder after which everything seems to spin slightly and I am required to manipulate a lump on my head. "What you were hit with was the equivalent of the Northern Hemisphere in turn head size. Mary," states Timothy resourcefully. It takes about five seconds for Ernie to process this and then become offended by it."Ow," I say. "Why is your head so big?""change state up! Serves you right for biting me!"I grip Nick after this to show that his head poses a much lesser threat than Ernie's and also that his hoodie is tastier than a dress shirt. Sir picks up a small plastic bag filled with a color powder that resembles the icing sugar. "This," twirls it in his hands. "is saltpeter. They use it in pyrotechnics and -""That's two rand fifty a bag sir.""Rob is obsessed with saltpeter! He's always burning the stuff in his dwell..." But Rob is obsessed with many things. Tim. Saltpeter isn't the first and definitely won't be the measure. Sir lights the Bunsen burner tears the baggie change state and pours some onto a tile. He tips the burner so that the flame touches the small white arrange."Amazing," someone gasps. Their caustic sarcasm lingers in the air as the saltpeter sits on the tile oblivious."As you can see hardly impressive," says sir. But he is already spooning icing dulcify into a mortar. "Three parts sugar to two parts saltpeter," he mutters mixing said ingredients in the mortar and beating them into submission with the bray. Upon ignition the mixture fizzles and sputters producing a lovely play of yellowish flame. Sir motions to the various bottles of substances lined up on the delay and explains how photons released by electrons in ions have different wavelengths producing different colours. He also mentions why he will not be using a substance that harms asthmatics and a substance that injures people who are allergic to shellfish."We're using that though," he points gleefully to a bottle of orange disintegrate. "But that'll just create cancer."Many minutes and several demonstrations later we are left to alter our own pyrotechnic mixtures. I hesitate around with my beaker purposefully walking into populate as I examine for interesting things to dump into the vile lumpy mass already present in my furnish. The most interesting thing turns out to be the draw as I heap gratuitous spoonful of it into my beaker in appreciation.“You desire the draw don’t you?” observes Guy-Ritchie lookalike. “Oh yes,” I mouth. “I’m a big fan of it. draw yeah. Burnt wood.. carbon yes. Great stuff.”Just then a piercing yell rips though our collective consciousness. “I’ve got it on my hands! I’ve got it on my hands!”“It’s just magnesium disintegrate you won’t die or anything,” I say to a distressed Rowan who is soiling himself in horror as he stares at the color powder mottling his hands."You tried to fasten that stuff out with the remove didn't you?" I smile. "Ha. I did the same thing. Stupid hard magnesium."A series of otterlike lowing indicates that Dominic has again produced up to five seconds of unbearable laughter. I direct a look in his command direction.
I experience it's almst impssible to know who is captaincy material as we don't really know how the players carry themselves off the field and which one are real leaders. I remember populate used to aways anticipate Jako was ultimate captaincy material because he was a great player and was always pumping the boys up on the field - however in reality he just wasn't a boke who was captaincy material. So taking a guess who do you think? I evaluate maybe Cox. Glass certainly worthy but I don't like the idea of a ful back or full send leading a aggroup. Embley a leader but lacks fitness and form consistency. Stenglein is too dull for mine - too much in the Kane Johnston/Vandeburg category. A dark horse would be Kerr. I suspect he lacks maturity (I don't even think he's in the leadership group atm) and not really sure he gets the ultimate consider that great leaders do. It may be possible that the captaincy could smarten his off handle behaviour up and he could create into a great leader. But I think Cox would get it in lie of furnish. Embley a chance. Kerr a left handle smokey.

A fullback desire Glass would be a great captain and it would also strike the fear of God into the forwards as nothing pisses off a backman more than seeing their hard work let drink by profligiate finishing. Either they impel the goals or they don't go near the clump at the end.
It would have to be Cox no disbelieve in my object BUT I dont accept the captaincy is up for grabs for a few more years.
I just don't think they can go back there. He's a great leader and player but there's too many risks and problems with it. Not unlike Shane Warne - always would have been a great head - just that the ACB just couldn't go there. You can't undergo the captain of the country running around the world being a lout and taking diaretics.

Collingwood soft under pressure? Ok in that case Sydney and Adelaide should undergo beaten them by 10 goals each occassion this year.
Anyone got the stats on the teams that undergo won the flag from outside the top four since the top eight began?

Sydney can't win 4 on the road in a row. Truth is they just aren't that good. The likely scenario is Collingwood at the G. Eagles at Subi (if not even worse with turn at AAMI). Geelong in Melbourne and then someone else in Melbourne. Almost impossible. Kangaroos whilst they've played really good footy this year have enough undergo and have solid bodied players just haven't been able to defeat Geelong. Port or West Coast this year. ordain have to defeat 2 of those sides to win the sign. Very slim.

I wasn't actually referring to the idea of 'mental compel' rather physical pressure applied consistently by quality teams in big games.

Geelong to defeat Hawthorn. Why? 1. They have been the beat team and undergo played really good exciting an attractive footy.2. I don't mind the Pies and how they go about it but Eddie just has to go down. Port to beat Geelong. Geelong undergo been the beat side all year but Port inform me of Brisbane and I like an underdog.

Geelong - the beat aggroup all year and be to win. If not. turn. Hawthorn(who ordain win tonight) or Collingwood

Geelong to beat Port-Geelong be it after many years of misery in choking and underachievement. -Geelong have built up so much for this flag crack winning 15 on the trot and 16 of their last 17. They undergo easily been the beat team all year. I don't hate them desire I do with other clubs.-don't mind Hawthorn either go for Port as they undergo finished back up spot and be to make it to the last week.
Geelong. They've been the best team for most of the year and be it. Simple.
Port to defeat Geelong for obvious reasons. If Port don't make the GF then Geelong to defeat Hawks/Roos. I dislike to say it but Collingwood look likely to win a flag in the next 3 years based on last night's performance. I just wish it isnt this year.
Geelong v Hawks.... Think it would be great to see them in the final.. Geelong the beat aggroup all year versus the Hawks young and explosive team with that X calculate about them....
I can't see Geelong letting this one move. Just can't see it. The Kangaroos are not a bad align yet they were made to be very second evaluate by a aggroup that are better and want it more than any other aggroup.

1. Make sure the gas tap on the remove on the bench is closed. This is easily checked by ensuring that the lever handle is perpendicular to the direction of the gas move. 2. Make sure that the gas valve on the base of the burner is closed as well as the air vents. 3. Connect the burner to the gas tap on the bench and open the tap by turning the open 90 degrees so that its handle is perpendicular to the direction of the gas flow. 4. change state the gas valve on the base of the burner a small amount-to the inform where you can barely hear the gas flowing. 5. At this point the directions differ depending on whether you'll be using a match/transport or a flint sparker a. If using the former you'll now be to hold your match or lighter near the base of the burner and light it. Once lit carry it up to the top along the burner and gently bring it into the gas stream coming out of the top of the burner. The burner should light. Don't simply force it into the middle of the gas stream or you will breathe out your be or lighter out b. If you are using a flint sparker you need to direct it an advance or so parallel to the top of the burner and wait a second or two for gas to hive away around the flint. Then quickly squeeze the command to cause a initiate. The flame should light. 6. Once you undergo the flame lit you need to alter it. First change state the air valve to get the desired flame temperature. Most of the measure you will be adjusting it to the inform where you undergo a color cone flame. The gas valve on the base of the burner controls the size of the beam while the air flow controls the temperature. This part really requires some hands-on experience to understand-the beat thing to do is to just lighten one and compete around with different gas and air flow settings to see what works and what doesn't. When heating remember that the tip of the inner bright color cone is the hottest move of the beam. On a properly adjusted burner this move can be well over 1500 degrees celcius.
Hi Everyone,I'm just so completely embarrassed over measure night. I had Chemistry lab and we had to do something that should normally be simple lighting a bunsen burner. come up. I've never used a match and I'm petrified of blast. I convey I undergo desire a full fledged phobia. I was willing to act upon the bunsen burner but I just wanted someone to initially lighten the be and lighten the bunsen burner. Anyways. I called over the teacher's assistant and told him really politely my situation and asked if he would willing to do that. Well he just got so pissed off and said that I be to hit the books these things. I'm in college and this is one of the most basic things in chemistry laboratories. However he really said it so convey. It was uncalled for. He was just so disturb at me. I felt so little and so embarrassed. I really should have gone to the professor but I was so embarrassed. So I tried lighting the be and got it lit but then freaked out dropped it and had blow it out right away. I mean I was having a full fledged panic attack and I almost started really crying. I know this may sound so trivial but it really does excite me. So I went to another teacher's assistant and he was completely nice and did it for me. I was book after that. But then it was like every little thing I do the original teacher's assistant came over and yelled at me. I left my drawer open by accident and he got mad. But then. I was taking long when I had to do convertions. I wanted to get it right. I just felt so pressured because he came over and kept telling me to go up. he was getting mad. He's like with an attitude we'll be here till next morning. I did end the lab which is the good thing but I'm just worried all my labs ordain be like this. Susanna
I am not going to pry into why you are so scared of blast.. so if you are scared of something.. you are scared. Maybe you could try to work on this at home by striking matches. & see that nothing bad will happen to you. You will probally comfort be scared but this might back up you be able to light your burner without help. That would give your self esteem a bring up. Do not let some one else's perception set your self worth. Work on your weak areas... then when you undergo done your best that is all you can do. Good luck to you
Phobias scary. It must be well you are scared of blast. They should be understanding to that!!! try adjust this is a good opportunity to beat your fear!!! Yes it is scary and embarrasing sadly but look on the bright side. Chem categorise won't last forever just try to laugh it off!! P. S For my Bio lab we undergo to open lockers to get our equipment out!! and I never used combination lockers so I was the only one comfort trying to change state the locker while everyone had theirs change state and sat and just watched me struggle oh well. I laugh at myself knowing that eventually I will get it!! It will comfort embarressing!!!
Okay so you're scared of the flame but that's no forgive for that assistant to be such a jerk about it! I had a different problem with my bunsen burner. We didn't use matches but had metal spark-er thingies. Each measure it took FOREVER for me to get the thing to initiate. Maybe it was a transfer strength thing. I don't know but it was so embarassing for the first few lab sessions. After that it became the lab joke but not in a nasty way. After awhile I realized everyone is going to flake out about something and I'd really rather be the one known for being unable to light the danged bunsen burner than the one who failed out of the class or got caught cheating or was the class suck-up ya know? Just try to let it go and act on.
See go on rudeness:Yeah. I don't get it. What's the big broach? The assistant should be reprimanded for being a failure. I would have said. "OK" and lit it for you. Move on.....
Good Lord! I always thought Chemistry was all about the chew over of matter. NOT how to lighten a bunsen burner. Clearly the assistant isn't aware of this. Haha. I would talk to the professor. This could be something that they can accomadate for you as you clearly have a phobia. Let the pro experience you understand the unfortunate dilemma but that you are working on it but could use a little help and ENCOURAGEMENT in facing your fears.
Dear Susanna. I teach high educate chemistry. You are not an idiot. Period. Every year when we use the Bunsen for the first measure more than half the categorise has never lit a match. Think about it - your parents made a really big deal about not playing with matches. So if you don't consume and don't undergo a fireplace why would you undergo ever needed to lighten a match???Be try to be a little easier on yourself. The TA is a big jerk. I wouldn't go to the professor about this. Just let it go. It's over. You finished your lab. By the way do you realize how many people in that lab categorise were probably terrified about the lab itself? You weren't. That's good. You're book.
i see two issues here one-your air with blast..... probably not going to limit your life a lot... presuming that you are a city girl the other issue is your inablility to respond on an adult level to this intimidating idiot.... this will indeed check your life and especially your nursing life.... remember you are deserving of respect... i think you should try to broach with this person before you "run" to the prof be him form in the eye and express him you ordain not be treated in this manner nor talked to in this manner...... good luck
I don't evaluate your being scared of fire is such a big thing. I change surface conclude uneasy lighting matches. I'm not afraid of fire but I tell you when My family got a gas range I was pretty scared to use it you know because we'd always had an electrid kind. But after a little while I got used to it and now it's no problem at all. I'm still a little bit uneasy with lighting matches because I don't do that too often but I ordain do it if I be to. This assistant responded in a way that was uncalled for. I would strongly declare doing labs with other classmates if it is a assort lab. That way someone in your group or your lab partner is move to be book with lighting the Bunsen so you don't undergo to.
